Let me show you how to live your life without pain.

Remember: Your actions got you to where you are now. If you want to feel different you have to act differently.

First: Kill the pain. This is where your freezer and the medical doctor are your friends.
Ice! Get a bag of ice or anything else frozen (like a bag of peas) out of your freezer and put it over the painful spot. Leave it there for 30 minutes. Lay down and do this, don't sit or stand up.
Go and get: 1) Anti-inflamitories 2) Pain killers 3) Muscle Relaxers.
You are in pain, drugs are good right now. Western medicine is all about emergency care and immediate relief of suffering. Do whatever it takes to feel better.

Next: Learn the Six (6) Rules and practice them in everything you do. These 6 rules will protect your disc. Your disc is the centre of your back pain. If you let your disc heal, your back pain will go away.

1. If something hurts / causes pain, don't do it.
-Your body can only talk to you in the language of pain. If you ignore your body, you will damage your disc. Find a way to live your life without causing yourself pain. If you cause pain, you cause damage and you will never be free of pain.

2. Don't Sit!!!!!!!
Sitting is the cause of almost all back pain. Orang Asli, Zulu warriors and other hunter / gatherer peoples don't have back pain. Eighty (80%) percent of we "civilized" people have back pain. When you sit, you increase pressure in your disc from 2 - 11 times. This makes the disc bulge and rip and causes more damage and more pain. I will make you one and only one promise: If you keep sitting you will never be free of low back pain. Limit your sitting to 15 minutes maximum. Laying down is safe. Walking is mandatory for healing your back. Walk as much as you can. Lay down. Don't sit.

3. Don't Bend Forward.
Keep your back straight, don't bend and lift things, don't bend and do things, don't bend during any kind of exercise.

4. Don't Arch Backwards.
Arching backwards will cause pressure in the disc to increase. Increased pressure will damage the disc.

5. Don't Twist.
Twisting also causes an increase in disc pressure.

6. Use Ice On Your Back.
Get Ice over the disc. Take and ice pack or a bag full of ice and put on on your back where the pain is. Leave it there for 20 minutes. Ice this way about 3 times in a day. Ice gets the swelling in the disc reduced which will help with the pain and get you on the way to healing.
